Hi, sorry if this is a bit late. You could always take the red tourist bus but if you fancy taking the local bus from Placa del Mercat, route L3 to Illetes. Get off at stop 69 (Hotel Nixe) and then it is a 5 minute walk inland and up the hill. If you download the MobiPalma app it is really helpful with the bus routes.

No, but not too far south. We used taxi and it didn't cost much and the receptionist at the Foundation called one for us to take us back.
