Columbus is a village in Adams County, Illinois, United States. The population was 114 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Quincy, IL–MO Micropolitan Statistical Area. Columbus was platted in 1835. A post office called Columbus was established in 1837, and remained in operation until 1963.
