If the Rockefeller preserve is closed, where can you park? We will be there this Spring before the preserve opens. Thanks. Marilyn

Marilyn: I'm not sure whether the preserve opens when the road opens. Or, to put it another way, I'm not sure whether the opening of the preserve is dependent on the opening of the road. Let me put it a third way: I know the road is still closed now; there was just an announcement about it being open for winter uses -- cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, etc. -- but it isn't plowed and open for cars. The opening of the road for cars, and the opening of the preserve, may be connected. If that's the case, it would be a bit of a hike from the Moose Visitor Center, or some of the other buildings there, just to get to the trailhead. It would, no doubt, be glorious, but it would be a couple more miles in, and out, added to your hike. Hope you have a great trip. We can't wait to get back there in June! Paul
