This feature is still in beta testing on Android and is part of an opt-in system called Private Processing. WhatsApp says the summaries are generated in the cloud in a secure, isolated environment.

WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow users to create a username for their account, eliminating the need to show their phone number when connecting with other users.
WhatsApp has unveiled new features for Status, including photo collages, music posts, custom stickers, and interactive prompts.
Among the new features is Layout, which allows users to turn up to six photos into a customized collage using editing tools to arrange them as desired. Another key addition is More with Music, letting users create a Status entirely centered around a particular song or use a music sticker to set the right mood.
