Mikel Arteta was buzzing to see Bukayo Saka in his 18 after three months away from the pitches of the Premier League, and he'll love that Saka quickly marked his return with a 73rd-minute goal.

Mikel Arteta hailed the “beautiful moment” that the Emirates crowd paid welcomed Bukayo Saka back after more than three months out. Saka scored seven minutes into his first appearance for Arsenal in 101 days as he netted the second goal in their 2-0 win over Fulham on Tuesday night.

A deserved win over tough opponents showed that Arteta just needs Berta to put the icing and cherries on top of a well-made cake. It also offered proof that Liverpool may only be a ‘big one’ away from a much closer title fight next term.

Following the departure of sporting director Edu, Arteta will be working with his successor Andrea Berta to strengthen his squad in areas that have particularly suffered in the past few months as they try to "evolve the team".
