Shares of India's Axis Bank fell 3.7% on Friday, a day after the lender posted a smaller-than-expected quarterly profit increase, weighed down by slower loan growth and higher provisions set aside for potential bad loans.

Out of the 49 analysts who have coverage on Axis Bank, 40 of them have a "buy" rating, while the other nine have a "hold". The lender does not have any "sell" recommendations from analysts.

Axis Bank reported a 3.8% increase in consolidated net profit for Q3 FY25. The net interest income grew by 9%, and operating profit rose 15%. Despite the positive outcomes, analysts highlighted concerns such as rising credit costs and slow deposit growth.

For Axis Bank, the Net Interest Income (NII) is projected to grow by 10% year-on-year (YoY), while Profit After Tax (PAT) is expected to rise by a modest 3% YoY.
