The inaugural College Basketball Crown tournament began Monday from Las Vegas with a bang. Butler pulled off a thrilling 86-84 upset win over Utah after star guard Pierre Brooks ll hit a game-winning layup with less than :03 remaining to get the sport's newest postseason event started.

Utah’s 2024-25 campaign ended in Las Vegas on Monday, and with an 86-84 loss to Butler in the first round of the College Basketball Crown, the Alex Jensen era has officially begun.
