The Nintendo Switch 2 pre-order dates may have been revealed. People in the UK and Europe have been able to pre-order the Switch 2 console via their official store. But pre-orders for the North American countries like the USA and Canada have been delayed due to President Donald Trump’s latest tariffs.

Nintendo's official guide page on how to buy the Switch 2 says, "The first batch of invitations will go out starting May 8, 2025," and "additional batches of invitation emails sent periodically until purchasing on My Nintendo Store is opened to everyone."

Nintendo has delayed Switch 2 preorders in Canada, which were set to start on April 9th, according to a statement shared with MobileSyrup. Last week, the company delayed preorders in the US because of the potential impact of the Trump administration’s new tariffs.
