An organization called “Recall Diana Becton” posted video on social media that they said showed a person serving Becton with a Notice of Intent to recall her from office. That interaction took place Monday as Becton went into the back entrance of the District Attorney’s office.

A group connected to Alexis Gabe — an Oakley woman allegedly killed by her boyfriend in 2022 — said it served the Contra Costa County district attorney with papers signaling its intent to recall her from office.

Contra Costa County District Attorney Diana Becton is facing a recall after the group behind the effort said they’ve gained enough signatures to begin the process. Becton was handed a recall notice on Monday.
