Courtney Vandersloot's reunion with the Chicago Sky lasted just seven games before she suffered a season-ending knee injury.

Franchise legend and starting point guard Courtney Vandersloot went down with a knee injury in Chicago’s 79-52 loss Saturday to the Fever and immediately looked to be in immense pain. The team then announced Sunday that she suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season.

Vandersloot's injury is a major loss for the rebuilding Sky, and in particular their young bigs, Kamilla Cardoso and Angel Reese. Hailey Van Lith, the No. 11 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, took Vandersloot place in the starting lineup for the second half on Saturday, and will likely assume that position for the rest of the season.
