Cincinnati forward Dillon Mitchell is the latest player to join Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino at St. John’s, the Red Storm announced Wednesday. The 6-foot-8 Mitchell averaged 9.9 points and 6.9 rebounds last season for the Bearcats. He ranked 10th in the nation with 66 dunks.

Cincinnati transfer Dillon Mitchell has committed to St. John's, sources told ESPN, likely cementing the Red Storm as a preseason top-five team. Mitchell, who visited St. John's earlier this month, spent last season with the Bearcats after beginning his career with two seasons at Texas.

RJ Luis Jr. – the Big East Player of the Year – declared for the NBA Draft and put his name in the NCAA transfer portal. Brady Dunlap, Simeon Wilcher, Vince Iwuchukwu, Jaiden Glover and Khaman Maker also are in the transfer portal. Kadary Richmond, Deivon Smith and Aaron Scott all exhausted their eligibility.
