FDA Issues Warning About Potentially Deadly Side Effects From Pain Drug For Dogs
The FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine now is reporting a series of adverse events related to the drug. They include ataxia, seizures and other neurologic signs. Those include paresis, recumbency, urinary incontinence, polyuria and polydipsia. Some cases ended with the death of the dog.

Dangerous side effects from the injectable canine drug Librela — used to treat osteoarthritis joint pain — have been linked to seizures, lameness and loss of muscle control, the FDA warned.
Pet owners have reported that the Librela drug used to treat dogs with arthritis has caused adverse effects and even death.
