Sky Sports commentator Martin Brundle issued a resounding statement of support for a suspended FIA steward. Brundle, a former Formula 1 driver, commented on the suspension of Derek Warwick, who was not allowed to work at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Former grand prix driver Derek Warwick has been suspended from his role as a steward at this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix. Governing body the FIA said the decision had been made "following recent unauthorised media comments".

Steward Derek Warwick was relieved of his duties earlier in the weekend over comments he said during an interview with a betting site. GPDA co-Chair George Russell disagrees with the governing body's decision.
