Nolan has already stirred excitement for his upcoming film by casting major stars like Matt Damon and Tom Holland. Of course, Nolan hardly needs additional hype, especially after Oppenheimer became the third-highest-grossing film of 2023 earning nearly $975 million globally and sweeping seven Academy Awards,

Nolan is also behind epic films including “Inception,” “The Dark Knight,” “Dunkirk” and his most recent film “Oppenheimer,” which scored big at last year’s Oscars when it took home the trophy for best picture. Nolan won that award as a producer, and also took home the Academy Award for best director.

Universal Pictures has announced on X that Christopher Nolan’s next film is The Odyssey, based on the classic Greek mythic story and will be filmed with “new IMAX film technology”. What exactly this is has not been officially confirmed but most are speculating that this refers to the new film cameras that IMAX has publicly said it’s been working on for the last few years.
