The city of Harrisburg’s first-ever Juneteenth parade took place Saturday. It was hosted by Harrisburg’s Young Professionals of Color. Marching bands, dance teams, cultural displays, and almost 100 organizations were on hand.

The streets were lined outside the Capitol as dozens of civic, religious and community organizations celebrated Juneteenth Saturday.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHP) — The City of Harrisburg is hosting it's very first Juneteenth parade on Saturday to celebrate the holiday. Mayor Wanda Williams, the city, and Young Professionals of Color (YPOC) and joining together to bring a vibrant parade, showcasing black culture and community.
