The 12-member jury includes a home hospice nurse, a man who owns a trucking company, a part-time college student dreaming of becoming a firefighter and paramedic, and a woman whose great grandfather shot two police officers in 1916.

Crimo did not attend Wednesday’s session. A guard told Judge Victoria Rossetti in the morning that he had checked on Crimo earlier Wednesday and the defendant indicated he did not plan to come to court. The guard told the judge that he checked in again at lunch, but Crimo again declined to come to court.
