Waymo is routing its fleet of autonomous vehicles away from a large swath of San Francisco’s downtown and main transit corridor on Monday as the city prepares for more protests related to raids by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Several people were seen being detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents Tuesday morning at a San Francisco immigration courthouse.

The outburst of public dissent occurred over the weekend after ICE began raids across Los Angeles. ICE said on Saturday that its “operations in LA this week” had resulted in 118 arrests of immigrants in Southern California.

ICE is criticized for detaining migrants at a San Francisco immigration court and allegedly arresting 15 people.
