The major law firm that hired former Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff in January caved to the Trump administration’s demands Tuesday.

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom (Skadden) has joined Paul Weiss as an elite, international law firm with deep sports industry ties to strike a deal with President Donald Trump. Trump announced on Friday that Skadden will provide “at least $100 million dollars in pro bono legal services” to causes that both he and the firm support.

Sources also point to other firms seeking deals to avoid Trump’s wrath, following in the footsteps of Skadden and Paul Weiss.

The deal is similar to ones struck with Mr. Trump over the past two weeks by the firms Paul Weiss and Skadden Arps.

The Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom law firm will provide $100 million in pro bono work to the Trump administration to avoid an executive order punishing it for allegedly weaponizing the legal system against conservatives.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced that he had reached an agreement with the prominent law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher — which employs Doug Emhoff, former vice president Kamala Harris’s husband — making it the third firm to strike a deal with him in as many weeks.

Law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher has reached a settlement deal with the Trump administration that will see them provide $100 million in legal services.
