San Francisco Mayor London Breed is fighting a self-funded philanthropist for reelection while in nearby Oakland, Mayor Sheng Thao is battling a recall election.

Polls have consistently shown that most voters do not approve of her job performance or the progressive agenda that has played out while she has been in charge.

Election workers were busy on Wednesday counting ballots that will eventually decide who will become San Francisco’s next mayor.
