New York Jets general manager Darren Mougey gave a stern and straightforward answer on Justin Fields from the NFL owners meetings in Florida this week. Mougey met with reporters, and of all the messages he sent out, his stance on Fields was the most direct. Mougey called Fields his starting quarterback in 2025.

The New York Jets have had a solid enough offseason with Justin Fields being brought in to steer the ship and take over from Aaron Rodgers. Given that Fields signed a two-year, $40 million deal that gives New York a get-out after a year, it is seen as a win-win for the franchise.
