Lando Norris’ chances at the 2025 Formula 1 championship took a massive hit in Sunday’s Canadian Grand Prix. Norris crashed himself out of the race when he inexplicably tried to pass McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri for fourth place with less than five laps left.

Oscar Piastri caused a red flag during FP3 at the Canadian Grand Prix, after the F1 championship leader collided with the Wall of Champions. The McLaren star bounced off the kerb on his way into the final chicane, which saw him clip the wall.

Max Verstappen has been in the headlines in the build-up to the race, with the Red Bull star sitting just one penalty point away from a one-race suspension following his controversial collision with George Russell last time out in Spain. He heads into this weekend's race 49 points behind Piastri and knows he has no margin for error.
