Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is set to visit Moscow on Jan. 17 and sign a cooperation agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian state news agency RIA cited Iran's ambassador to Russia as saying on Thursday.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian plans to visit Moscow. The meeting will take place in the second half of January, RIA Novosti reports. Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali stated that Pezeshkian plans to visit Moscow on January 17.

Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, made a phone call to Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azernews reports.

Masoud Pezeshkian is expected to sign an agreement on cooperation between Tehran and Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Jan. 17.
