India's key stock market indices, the Sensex and Nifty 50, saw further gains on November 6, driven by reports of Donald Trump's substantial advantage in the 2024 US election, which enhanced investor sentiment.

The Indian markets appear to have come down with Trump fever. After rallying with gains of over 1 per cent in the intraday trade on Wednesday, the marquee Indian indices dropped to new lows at the Dalal Street on Thursday.

Sensex and Nifty 50, maintains upward trend today following Trump's declaration of victory in the US Presidential election.

The trends on Gift Nifty indicate a weak start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading around 24,215 level, a discount of nearly 80 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close.

As many as 41 out of 50 constituent stocks of Nifty50 ended higher, led by BEL, Adani Enterprises, TCS, HCL Tech, and Wipro

Nomura India believes a Trump win is likely net-negative for Asia ex-Japan stocks, while it sees Harris as net-positive. In the betting markets, Trump has lost some earlier momentum, it noted.

Indian benchmark indices experienced their sharpest decline in over a month, weighed down by uncertainty surrounding the U.S. presidential election. The Nifty fell 1.27% to 23,995, while the Sensex dropped 1.

Indian benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex ended the previous trade session in the red. Nifty 50 closed at 23,995.35, while Sensex ended at 78,782.24. Overnight, Wall Street indices ended lower ahead of the US Presidential Election result and the US Fed rate decision this week.
