China Petroleum and Chemical Corp (Sinopec) has signed a 15-year deal with TotalEnergies for two million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually from 2028, which is expected to further bolster TotalEnergies’ foothold in China’s energy market and advance the country’s clean energy goals,

The collaboration was initiated earlier this year during Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to France.

TotalEnergies has signed a Heads of Agreement (HoA) with Sinopec for the delivery of 2 million tonnes of LNG per year for 15 years from 2028.
