Waking up, wind chills are in the single digits again. The cold sticks around while morning snow tapers off after dropping up to an inch.

All of Southeast Michigan is under a winter weather advisory from 1 p.m. Friday until 1 a.m. Saturday. Most of the snow will fall between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday. The snow will be the light and fluffy type. This is all based on the temperatures at the time the system moves in.

A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 5:34 a.m. EST for snow until 9 a.m. EST for Cass, St. Joseph, Branch, Hillsdale and Berrien counties.

Between two and three inches of snow are expected Friday night in Metro Detroit. A Winter Weather Advisory was issued for southeast Michigan ahead of the snow storm. To date, Metro Detroit has seen just six inches of snow for the entire winter - compared to average of 14.5 inches.
