AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Longhorns are national champions in softball. The Longhorns crushed Texas Tech 10-4 in Game 3 to claim the school's first ever national championship in the sport. The Longhorns threw Teagan Kavan in Game 3 to matchup with Texas Tech's NiJaree Canady, who was starting her third consecutive game.

The Longhorns capture their first national title after years of championship heartbreak, defeating the Red Raiders in decisive Game 3.
