The Trump administration is planning to deport a new group of alleged Venezuelan gang members under the Alien Enemies Act, according to emergency legal filings from immigration advocates.

A group of Venezuelan men asked the US Supreme Court to block their imminent deportation, saying President Donald Trump’s administration appears poised to send them to a notorious prison in El Salvador without the required chance for judicial review.

In May, the Supreme Court will hear on the legality of Trump's executive order to redefine who birthright citizenship applies to.

The Supreme Court on Thursday agreed to hear oral arguments over President Donald Trump’s request to enforce a plan to end birthright citizenship against all but a handful of individuals, though it deferred a request from the administration that would have allowed it to implement its plan immediately.
