After finding out he wouldn't be a starter this week, Stevenson pulled himself out of practice, according to a report on the " NFL on Fox" pregame show, which, according to Jay Glazer, wasn't received well by the Bears. Stevenson is still expected to be active and will play, switching off with cornerback Terell Smith.

The cornerback was disciplined by the team after he taunted Commanders fans moments before the receiver he needed to box out caught Jayden Daniels’ game-winning Hail Mary heave in Week 8.

Stevenson not only was late to involve himself in the play, but he tipped a Hail Mary pass into the hands of Commanders wide receiver Noah Brown, ending the game 18-15. Stevenson was supposed to box out Brown on the play, head coach Matt Eberflus said following the loss.
