It's a Coney Island tradition to christen the first Cyclone ride of the season with one of New York's indigenous egg creams.

The Cyclone has been designated a Historical Landmark, and continues to operate today under the ownership of Astroland USA. With the coming of the Depression, Coney Island fell on hard times.
