The New York Mets bounced back from a disappointing loss on Friday to defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-2 on Saturday night at Citi Field. The victory was fueled by a dominant performance from starter David Peterson, who pitched 7.2 innings, allowing just two runs and striking out seven batters.

Peterson was particularly rough on the Dodgers’ brand-name hitters. He struck out the mighty Shohei Ohtani three times and got him on a flyout in his other at-bat.
