Ford CEO Jim Farley, on the eve of traveling to Washington to meet with members of Congress on President Donald Trump's proposed tariffs, did not mince words Tuesday during an investor conference.

Ford Motor Co. Chief Executive Officer Jim Farley will travel to Washington on Wednesday to warn members of Congress that the 25% tariffs President Donald Trump has proposed on Canada and Mexico would “blow a hole” in the US auto industry.

President Donald Trump’s tariffs, both implemented and just threatened, are causing “chaos” for the U.S. automotive industry, according to Ford Motor CEO Jim Farley.
