When Mets first baseman Pete Alonso hit his first home run of the 2025 season on Monday, he did so in style. The four-time All-Star hit a grand slam in the top of the fifth inning on a 3-2 pitch against the Marlins, blasting a 93 mph sinker 400 yards off starting pitcher Cal Quantrill.

Alonso’s grand slam was one of four homers hit by the Mets in a 10-4 demolition of the Marlins at loanDepot park.
