On Monday at 8:11 p.m. a severe thunderstorm warning was released by the NWS Wakefield VA in effect until 9 p.m. for Northampton County.
"TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building," the tornado warning said. "Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris."
Heavy rain continues to pour down on Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, but much of the tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings have passed.
On Monday at 6:28 p.m. a severe thunderstorm warning was released by the NWS Raleigh NC in effect until 7:15 p.m. The warning is for Chatham, Lee and Wake counties.
