The second round, which will take place Saturday afternoon into the evening shows more confidence of conditions for all modes of severe weather and heavy rain. Areas with the highest risk will be east of I-65 and south of I-40. Rain will be widespread, with 2-3 inches likely and some areas seeing higher amounts. Localized flooding is possible.

The storms that develop to our west Saturday afternoon across the deep south will be very dangerous. Several strong and possibly long-track tornadoes are possible within the Level 4 risk area. By sunset, the storms will near the Georgia-Alabama state line, then continue through north Georgia Saturday evening and overnight.
