Then, Bradshaw took the microphone and stumbled through a congratulatory message to Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie, asking Lurie a question and then immediately interrupting him. And then when it came time to speak to Jalen Hurts, Bradshaw breezed through the fact that the Eagles quarterback had been named Super Bowl MVP.

The Eagles did it. They won the Super Bowl, via a blowout of the dynasty Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22. Philadelphia's out celebrating, but the Eagles still had a Lombardi Trophy to hoist first. Here's owner Jeffrey Lurie accepting it from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell:

Winning a Super Bowl is one of the most difficult jobs for a quarterback in the NFL, as that's a barometer for how a position is judged in the league. Just look at the great quarterbacks who have never captured a Super Bowl title (Dan Marino being one) and what their legacy is as an NFL signal-caller.

I'm not going to pretend Terry Bradshaw doesn't deserve his flowers. I personally don't consider Bradshaw one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time -- even if he played in a different passing era -- but there's no denying his place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame
