Out-of-control wildfires are ripping across parts of Los Angeles, leading to at least five deaths, burning down hundreds of buildings, and prompting more than 130,000 people to flee their homes in America's second-largest city.

WJCL 22 News spoke to two University of Georgia graduates who are living in the Los Angeles area. Shaelyn Carroll's apartment is under an evacuation order. She said she was already out of town when the order was issued,

Parts of Santa Monica were ordered to be evacuated as fast-moving flames destroyed homes along the coast in Los Angeles. Winds were picking up overnight, potentially fueling the fires.
