Dry weather and sunshine is raising the fire risk around the state and local officials are reminding people of the potential dangers of brush fires. Mid-March to mid-May is Connecticut’s typical brush fire season.

The risk of brush fires remains "high" across all of Connecticut's eight counties on Friday, state officials said.

The Connecticut brush fire risk will remain elevated Tuesday as dry and breezy conditions will persist, the weather service said.

The Connecticut brush fire risk is high again Wednesday as at least 10 blazes have ignited across the state since Saturday.
