The Dodgers aren't counting on Shohei Ohtani to pitch at the start of next season and will wait to see how his rehabilitation progresses following shoulder surgery on his non-throwing arm.

Shohei Ohtani had arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday to repair a labrum tear in his left shoulder, following an injury the Los Angeles Dodgers star suffered during Game 2 of the World Series on Oct. 26

Hundreds of people were in attendance at Downtown Los Angeles’ iconic Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels for a solemn service led by Archbishop Jose´ Gomez.

Fernando Valenzuela was remembered for “having the heart of a lion” throughout his stellar pitching career with the Los Angeles Dodgers during a funeral highlighting his Catholic faith on Wednesday. Archbishop José Gomez sprinkled holy water on Valenzuela's casket and later waved incense over it.

Mookie Betts will be on the move again. On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers announced their plan to move Betts back to the infield next season. The 32-year-old has moved positions several times since joining the Dodgers in 2020 and it appears another position shift is coming in 2025.

Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes said during a scrum at the GM meetings in San Antonio that the team intends to move Mookie Betts back to the infield.
