About 83.9 million passengers travelled through Heathrow's terminals in 2024, the airport has said. This record-breaking number is 4.7 million more than in 2023 and 3 million more than the previous annual record in 2019, before the pandemic. Heathrow forecasts it will serve 84.2 million passengers this year.

Passenger traffic hit a record in 2024, helped by a bumper December and holiday travel season, and saw 3 million more passengers than in the previous record of year of 2019.
