Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart ranks among the best at his position in the NFL Draft, according to one analyst.

Ole Miss football watched Jaxson Dart shred Duke for 404 passing yards and four touchdowns in the Gator Bowl. Dart entered the contest against Duke Thursday facing skepticism about his NFL prospects.

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart has declared for the 2025 NFL draft. Dart, though, said in his social media post Friday that he will play in the Gator Bowl against Duke on Jan. 2. Dart spent three years in Oxford after transferring from USC.

Ole Miss was a 17 1/2-point favorite, according to BetMGM, mostly because the Blue Devils (9-4) were without quarterback Maalik Murphy and running back Star Thomas. Both entered the transfer portal after Duke’s regular-season finale.

Kiffin played a major role in Dart’s decision to transfer from USC to Ole Miss ahead of the 2022 season. A Kaysville, Utah native, Dart made the move across the country to Oxford, Mississippi, where the program and its fans embraced him with open arms. Over the past few years, Dart and Kiffin have developed a strong bond, both on and off the field.
