Gov. Ron DeSantis on Tuesday emphasized his commitment to making Florida a law and order state and is recommending a raise for state law enforcement.

According to a study by the Florida Policy Institute, local governments in the Sunshine State receive a total of $42.7 billion in property taxes yearly, or about $2,000 per person. DeSantis told Loesch that Florida's popularity among tourists and snowbirds will allow the state to avoid income or property taxes easily.
