A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for San Diego County valleys and mountain communities including El Cajon, Escondido, Ramona and Julian for Wednesday and Thursday.

According to Cal Fire, much of the San Diego region is especially vulnerable this time of year, so the agency is standing by with extra resources in case a fire breaks out.

The National Weather Service has issued advisories for strong Santa Ana winds and Red Flag Warnings in Southern California.
