Maryland national parks impacted by federal layoffs

Thousands of National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service employees are being laid off as part of a federal workforce downsizing plan by President Trump and Elon Musk.

Some rangers decided it was worth the risk to speak out online about their firings and share their love of the National Park Service.

The National Parks Service has felt President Trump’s efforts to reduce the federal government like almost every other federal department, and as a result, some national parks are being forced to reduce their hours.
