Ryan Egelston is being held in Denver’s Downtown Detention Center on investigation of attempted first-degree murder after Sunday’s shooting at Washington Park.

A 28-year-old Lakewood man arrested in Denver on Sunday after a shooting in Washington Park now faces charges of attempted murder, according to police.

One unidentified victim was shot and taken to the hospital by paramedics, police said. As of 3 p.m., the victim was still alive and expected to survive.

Police are investigating a shooting in central Denver on Monday afternoon. Police said one victim was located in the shooting, which happened in the 1100 block of East Colfax Avenue. That's just east of Downing Street.
