A Saturday Night Live Christmas is airing live tonight, Wednesday, December 18 at 9/8c on NBC, and streaming on demand with Peacock the next day. Featuring interviews with over 60 SNL contributors, the first two episodes center on the audition process and writers’ room, while the final two installments are stand-alone docs that focus on the classic “More Cowbell” sketch and Lorne Michael’s return to the show for Season 11.

Live season 50 rolled into the holiday hiatus with some strong momentum. However, SNL fans are eager for the sketch show to reappear in the new year. SNL last aired a new episode on December 21, 2024.
