BEAUMONT, Texas — Southeast Texas' industrial facilities are gradually returning to normal operations following the recent winter storm. Most of the 22 plants that shut down during the storm on Tuesday are now restarting their operations, with some expected accompanying noise and flaring, according to Jefferson County Judge Jeff Branick.

The event celebrated the induction of four distinguished individuals whose contributions have significantly impacted Southeast Texas.

Storm Enzo nearly derailed the 2025 Southeast Texas PIT Count, complicating efforts to assess the region's homeless population.

Southeast Texas is under its first-ever blizzard warning – one that reaches from the Golden Triangle, which includes Beaumont, Port Arthur and Orange, out east into Louisiana, home to what is normally one of the busiest throughways in all of Texas, Interstate 10.
