Ookla published its latest Speedtest study for the second half of 2024 and the results aren’t too surprising. T-Mobile continues to reign supreme in speed, consistency, and availability for US consumers.

Based on data from users running Speedtest, T-Mobile delivered a median download speed of 212.77 Mbps, outscoring AT&T at 95.08 Mbps and Verizon Wireless at 86.23 Mbps. The Uncarrier also led the pack for the median upload speed at 11.45 Mbps and the lowest latency at 49 ms.

AT&T reported another strong quarter for its fiber subscriber base, as the carrier added more than 300,000 connections for Q4 2024. The company also outlined its copper retirement plans during an earnings call, noting that it aims to retire the majority of its copper lines by 2029.

T-Mobile has several Galaxy S25 deals available, with some customers able to save $1,000 for trading in old phones in poor condition.

T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile are giving a free MLS Season Pass to all their customers. Customers can redeem the offer on the T-Life app starting February 18, 2025. The pass includes live streams of all regular season matches, playoff matches, and the Leagues Cup.
