It’s the latest development in a month-long saga for Xavier Lucas, a former standout at Plantation American Heritage.

The Atlantic Coast Conference's Miami Hurricanes and the Big 10's Wisconsin Badgers are in a bit of a dilemma. A massive loophole has been found regarding the transfer portal and name, image, and likeness.

In a statement released Saturday, Wisconsin explained why it didn't enter Lucas' name into transfer portal, alleges tampering by University of Miami.

Wisconsin has claimed that Miami tampered with defensive back Xavier Lucas, who elected to withdraw from the school and enroll at UM with an intention to play football for the Hurricanes in 2025. Wisconsin says it has “credible information indicating” that Miami engaged in impermissible contact with the player before he decided to move to that school.
