After missing almost a month of action with a back injury, goalie Linus Ullmark looks like he'll be ready to return to the lineup soon. At that point, with Anton Forsberg and Leevi Merilainen, the Senators will have three available goalies. This just in: there isn't room on the bench for two backup goalies.
For the first time in what seems like an eternity, the Ottawa Senators have three goaltenders who can provide wins for the hockey club. With the emergence of Leevi Meriläinen, the excellence of Linus Ullmark, and the recent perseverance of Anton Forsberg, the Sens will need to make a decision in the near future when all three are healthy.
Forsberg will look for his first win since Nov. 25 as he makes his first start in six games. The 32-year-old netminder is 4-8-1 this season with an .883 save percentage and 3.10 GAA.
