The City of Union is working on a plan to install directional signage around town in collaboration with the Union R-XI School District and ReDiscover Union, a nonprofit seeking to improve downtown.

“We understand this is an important route for many travelers, and our goal is to keep it as safe as possible,” an official said.

Lanes were closed and trains halted after the truck came to a stop by the railway tracks.
